This tour takes you to the 7 Hot Springs of varying temperatures legend has it that King Ravana struck his sword into the earth 7 times which brought forth 7 wells with hot water. The wells are quite shallow buckets are provided. As this is a religious site swim suits are not advised. Shorts and t shirts will be fine.

Legend has it that one day, two brothers who were traders and had a lock of hair of the Lord Buddha left it at this spot while they went into the town to do their business. When they came back they found they could not move the urn that contained the hair so, they build a Dagoba over it…. GIra Handu Seya is Dagoba is thought to be the oldest Dagoba in the world. Half an hour by Tuk will get you to the site of this sacred temple and 256 steps later will get you to this ruined Dagoba. It is best climbed in the late afternoon so that you can also enjoy beautiful sunsets in the skies to the West of the temple. Max of 3 adults in a one tuk.

dambulla – sigiriya – minneriya

This day tour starts very early in the morning you are transferred via AC car to Sigiriya once you clime and come down stop for a packed breakfast and rest. Next stop Dambulla Cave temple, here we see the beautiful buddhist paintings on the walls that makes this stop a must stop !! When we are done here we drive back to Habarana stopping at a fruit shop along the way. Once we have lunch and relax a bit we go to Minneriya by Safari Jeep March – Sept is the time of “The Gathering” the largest gathering of Asian Elephants in the world make this a breath taking spectacle. Once we are done here we are driven back to our car to be taken back to Nilaveli. A full day excursion. Price is based on 4 pax and includes all tickets and lunch.
